This project involves the external thermal renovation of a residential building located near the Manufacture des Gobelins, at 2 rue Émile Deslandres, in the heart of a historically rich neighbourhood and diverse landscapes.
The chosen insulation materials are bio-based, with wood wool used throughout the entire building envelope.
Our architectural intent is to preserve the understated character of the original building by specifying a light, mineral-based render that is simple and cost-effective across all façades.
We have also made the deliberate choice to allocate a significant portion of the budget to elements close to the inhabitants — specifically the inhabited joinery units — which we aim to make warm and high-quality, using a combination of steel and wood.
