









Located near the Essonnes-Robinson suburban train station, on the RER D line, the building stands on the corner of Place de Sindelfingen.
Dating back to 1963, it features a simple volumetry: a rectangular floor plan spread over four levels, topped with a flat roof.
Considering the challenges of renovating older structures while meeting both heritage preservation and thermal performance standards, the intervention focuses on refurbishing the façades and improving the building’s energy efficiency and overall comfort.
Our approach was to respect the original architectural language (horizontal bands and load-bearing walls) while giving the building a more contemporary expression through renewed ornamentation using timber cladding panels.
